Key Responsibilities
IT Legislative Advisory & Technical Analysis (35%)
- Conduct technical research to support legislative proposals
- Prepare technical briefings and draft testimony for committee hearings
- Provide written recommendations for statutory and policy changes
- Track federal IT policies (FCC, NTIA) and assess state impact
- Draft compliance and adherence reports
- Analyze industry trends and risks of technology obsolescence
- Act as liaison with federal, tribal, and local government entities
- Align IT initiatives with federal and state funding cycles
- Mentor and transfer knowledge to internal OIT staff
- Ensure CORA-compliant deliverables
- Maintain active lobbyist registration with the Colorado Secretary of State
- Adhere to NIGP and Colorado State ethics standards
- Local Colorado resident
- Availability for in-person work at the State Capitol
- Proven Colorado legislative experience
- Established relationships with state legislators
- Strong technical and policy analysis background
