We are seeking a Development Lead to guide a team of engineers in modernizing legacy systems while building innovative, scalable applications. This role blends hands-on technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of developers, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of backend services, APIs, and applications
- Drive modernization efforts, including transitioning legacy systems to microservices-based architectures
- Partner with product managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements, scope, and delivery timelines
- Establish and enforce coding standards, version control, and CI/CD best practices
- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate
- Strong experience building backend services using .NET and/or Java
- Proficiency with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
- Solid understanding of API design, integration patterns, and distributed systems
- Experience integrating with CRM platforms and third-party systems
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS
- Proven experience delivering scalable, production-grade applications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including tools such as Harness
- Familiarity with developer assisting tools and productivity tooling
- Experience with Kubernetes (k8s) and containerized workloads
- Knowledge of deployment, caching, and performance optimization strategies
- Exposure to insurance or regulated industry platforms
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage end-to-end delivery
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Strategic mindset with a passion for innovation, modernization, and continuous improvement
