A bit about us:
We are a growing, design-build mechanical contractor with a long-standing reputation in the Upper Midwest, supporting complex HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems across a wide range of industries including healthcare, higher education, multifamily, industrial, and commercial sectors. Over the past decade, the business has scaled significantly, both in team size and project complexity, and continues to expand into new markets while maintaining strong roots in core sectors.
The company operates with in-house engineering capabilities, allowing for greater control over design quality and execution, and works closely across design, field, and preconstruction teams. Leadership is accessible, hands-on, and focused on long-term growth, both for the business and the people within it.
Why join us?
This is a newly created Lead Mechanical Engineer position focused on HVAC systems, designed to support the continued growth of the engineering team and provide leadership bandwidth to an existing senior team member.
This role blends hands-on engineering with light leadership. You will take ownership of projects from concept through construction while helping guide and develop a junior design team. You will not be responsible for formal people management (hiring/firing), but you will play a critical role in mentoring, reviewing work, and helping elevate the team.
You will work across a wide range of project types and complexity levels, from straightforward commercial scopes to highly technical healthcare, laboratory, and industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
