We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Linux Engineer to drive the end-to-end delivery of robust infrastructure solutions for Fiserv customers. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Development, Product, and other Engineering functions, and bring deep technical expertise across Linux systems, automation, middleware, and cloud/on-premise infrastructure.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
8 years of experience in Linux system engineering in large-scale enterprise environments
Proficiency in Red Hat or Oracle Linux system administration
Hands-on experience with Java Middleware, Apache/Tomcat, SSL/SAML, and JDBC
Automation experience using Ansible, Rundeck, or similar tools
Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, firewall rules, NFS
Experience with HA and DR solutions in enterprise settings
Excellent documentation, communication, and customer service skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
Ability to work across multiple time zones and collaborate in a distributed environment
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Delivery: Lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-class Linux infrastructure solutions across on-prem and cloud environments.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering groups, development teams, and product owners to gather, analyze, and validate infrastructure requirements.
Linux System Administration: Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux or Oracle Linux systems.
Middleware & Web Servers: Manage and support Java middleware platforms such as JBoss EAP, WebLogic, WebSphere, as well as Apache HTTP, Tomcat, and JDBC connectivity.
Security & Connectivity: Work with SAML, SSL certificates, ciphers, and understand firewall rules, DNS configurations, and troubleshooting access or connectivity issues.
Automation & Scripting: Automate system tasks using tools like Ansible, Rundeck, and support infrastructure orchestration and post-provisioning automation.
Networking & Protocols: Demonstrate working knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, and manage associated components.
High Availability & DR: Design and implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions to ensure system resilience and uptime.
Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation, including Visio diagrams, build guides, and configuration standards.
Operational Support: Provide expert-level support for escalated infrastructure issues, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure SLAs are met.
