Lead Developer (Ruby on Rails / JavaScript)

Trigyn's direct government client based out of South Carolina has a long-term contract assignment for Lead Developer (REMOTE). The particulars of the position are as follows.

Description:

Work will include front end and backend development. Work closely with customers and the consultant will be expected to participate remotely in weekly meetings to discuss requirements for new development and give demos of completed development.

Daily duties / responsibilities:

Ruby and JavaScript development, using Rails, writing tests, demonstrating work completed to customers in meetings, providing daily status updates to team, following change management workflows, assisting help desk with debugging user issues, presence on internal messaging system during work hours.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Ruby, Rails, Git, JavaScript, Web Security, MySQL, excellent oral and written communication skills, test-driven development
  
  

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Bachelor?s degree preferred
  
  

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• JSON, Command line, SQL, SSH, HAML, SCSS, Vue.js, ability to work independently, prior experience working as a remote contractor.
