Job Title: Lead DBA (SQL Server / Oracle) Location: Iselin, NJ (5 Days Onsite) Contract position
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Lead DBA support for SQL Server (70%) and Oracle (30%) databases.
Manage database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
Monitor database health, performance, and security.
Support production issues and provide root cause analysis.
Work with development teams on database design, indexing, and stored procedures.
Ensure database security, compliance, and data integrity.
Lead database projects, migrations, and upgrades.
Provide on-call support as needed.
Required Skills:
Strong experience with SQL Server DBA activities.
Good experience with Oracle DBA.
Experience with performance tuning, backup/recovery, and high availability.
Experience with database monitoring and security best practices.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
