Role:Lead Data Engineer

Location: New York, New York

Duration : Long Term contract

Job Description:

• The Data Lead is responsible for overseeing data management, analytics initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality data solutions.
• This role involves leading data teams, defining data strategies, and collaborating with stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  
  

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead and mentor data engineers, analysts, and modelers.
• Allocate resources and manage priorities for data projects.
  
  

Data Strategy & Governance:

• Define and implement data governance frameworks and standards.
• Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  
  

Solution Design & Delivery:

• Oversee design and implementation of data architecture and pipelines.
• Ensure data solutions meet business requirements and performance standards.
  
  

Analytics Enablement:

• Support advanced analytics, BI, and reporting initiatives.
• Collaborate with business teams to identify data-driven opportunities.
  
  

Quality & Performance:

• Monitor data quality and integrity across systems.
• Optimize data processes for scalability and efficiency.
  
  

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams.
• Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience in data architecture, modeling, and analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Knowledge of ETL tools, BI platforms, and big data technologies.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Data Analytics Specialty, Google Data Engineer) preferred
