Junior BI Dashboard Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior BI Dashboard Developer to support a large-scale data platform transformation for a financial services client. This role focuses on refactoring existing dashboards and building new, high-quality visualizations using data from a modern data platform.

You will work with both structured and unstructured data to deliver scalable, insight-driven dashboards that enable business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Refactor and rebuild existing dashboards to align with new data models and platform architecture
• Develop new dashboards using Tableau and MicroStrategy
• Design intuitive, user-friendly data visualizations for business stakeholders
• Validate data accuracy by reconciling dashboard outputs with underlying datasets
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to source, transform, and integrate data
• Ensure performance, scalability, and usability of dashboards
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with Tableau (dashboards, calculated fields, parameters, LOD expressions, data blending)
• Hands-on experience with MicroStrategy (report development, schema objects, metrics, attributes, intelligent cubes)
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data sources
• Understanding of data modeling concepts and their impact on visualization performance
• Strong attention to detail and data validation skills
• Ability and willingness to work onsite in McLean, VA (5 days/week)
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modern data platforms (cloud data lakes/warehouses)
• Exposure to data transformation or migration projects
• Experience in financial services or analytics use cases
