ITAM Specialist - Asset Management
Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of an ITAM Specialist - Asset Management for a contract position in Columbia, SC. The opportunity will be for one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Process IT hardware for disposal or reuse
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping and system updates
- Complete tasks in ServiceNow
- Coordinate with customers and technicians
- Maintain required documentation
- Perform data analysis to:
- Reconcile physical inventory with system records
- Validate sanitization artifacts
- Generate reports for audits and compliance requests
- 50% Analyze and reconcile asset inventories and entitlements against discovery data, confirming assets are appropriately reported on network connection scans. Log, track and reallocate assets in the ITAM system through all stages of the asset lifecycle.
- 20% Create service tickets to correct any asset discrepancies found through the reconciliation process and monitor the ticket status to ensure completion and close out.
- 20% Develop, update and maintain valid inventory processes and procedures.
- 10% Create and coordinate software and/or hardware inventory reporting in support of compliance, inventory management activities, utilization, and budgeting functions. null
- Knowledge of Asset Management policies, procedures and concepts. Understanding of hardware/software licensing/maintenance models. Strong analytical, assessment and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, organizational, planning and time management skills, with ability to prioritize and multitask assignments.
- Required Software and Other Tools: Microsoft Office. Work Environment: Fast paced, multi-platform environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer. Travel to client sites may be required. null
- Bachelor''s degree in a job-related field
- Degree Equivalency:
- 4 years of IT or related work experience, OR
- Associate''s degree 2 years of IT or related work experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in:
- Asset management, OR
- Procurement, OR
- Workstation support, OR
- Related field
- Strong Excel skills (Power Query or other data analysis tools preferred)
- ServiceNow experience
- Blancco experience
