This position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, maintaining systems, and ensuring seamless operations across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive guidance to employees, both remotely and in person, on system configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures.
- Address employee concerns and inquiries, delivering optimal solutions and recommendations.
- Prioritize employee satisfaction and escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate level for resolution.
- Communicate proactively with managers regarding potential actions at partner sites to enhance information flow and service quality.
- Maintain accurate inventory and asset tracking records for all technology-related equipment, including software and hardware.
- Ensure up-to-date documentation for all systems to facilitate efficient troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Analyze the impact of new or evolving technologies and devise strategies to optimize current systems.
- Collaborate with laboratories on network-related matters, operational procedures, and system functionalities.
- Execute equipment installations and coordinate lab changes and relocations at partner sites.
- Coordinate training sessions for employees on new equipment and software upgrades.
- Perform regular equipment upgrades, maintenance tasks, and scheduling adjustments at various sites.
- Travel throughout the company's service area on short notice, with occasional overnight stays (1 to 3 days per month).
- Working knowledge of technology principles and techniques relevant to a business environment; certifications in computer, networking, and security fields are preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft 365 Services, and web-based platforms.
- Commitment to exceptional customer service and compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mainstream applications, including Office, online apps, and Microsoft products, as well as sleep diagnostic equipment.
- Understanding of Internet and email usage, with the ability to multitask and troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues.
- Familiarity with database and networking security systems.
- At least three years of customer service experience and prior roles as an IT Help Desk Technician.
- Collaborative mindset and openness to constructive feedback.
- Focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- May be exposed to chemical vapors such as acetone, ether, or glutaraldehyde; personal protective equipment must be used as appropriate.
- No exposure to blood, body fluids, or infectious materials.
