Genesis10 is currently seeking a Solutions Engineer for a position located in Plano, TX, Jersey City, NJ or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Information Technology professionals within the company to ensure hardware is available for projects and working properly
- Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including time and scope involved
- Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
- Establish a framework for necessary contributions from various departments and facilitate their collaboration
- Analyze current technologies used within the company and develop steps and processes to improve
- Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates in relation to customer experience
- Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives
- Account for possible project challenges or constraints and proactively seek to manage challenges
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Communication, Information Technology or related engineering fields
- Minimum 7-10 years of hands-on experience in relevant areas, particularly in financial domains
- 5 years of hands-on job skills
- Hands-on expertise in creating, using, and debugging Terraform code and configurations
- Experience with DEVOPS/CLOUDOPS with provisioning and config management technologies
- Hands-on expertise in Ansible Playbook and XLR
- Hands-on expertise on Windows and RHEL Operating Systems as a SysAdmin
- Competitive Windows SysAdmin and IIS Admin skills
- Knowledge to manage data on RDBMS (includes data analytics)
- PowerShell scripting experience
- Application Container Knowledge (.NET/IIS)
- Experience with JAVA Full Stack Development on UNIX & Windows
- Experience with automation on Windows (PowerShell, Bladelogic, etc)
- Ability to plan, design, create programs, and document through AGILE framework
- Ability to design and develop application and architectural solutions for complex technology problems
- Must be able to work during onshore hours: 1 PM - 9 PM ET
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- Project development and leadership skills
- Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure
- Up-to-date understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
- Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes
