Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Plan, manage, and deliver complex IT projects requiring cross-functional collaboration and integration.
- Technology Readiness: Lead yearly readiness efforts for school startup, course add/drop, cross-registration, admissions, and financial aid.
- Portfolio Oversight: Manage ~100 applications, balancing enhancements, incident management, technical debt reduction, and decommissioning.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as primary contact for user groups, senior stakeholders, and executive committees; adapt solutions to meet evolving needs.
- Governance & Communication: Leverage steering committees for decision-making, change management, and stakeholder communication.
- Operational Continuity: Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with budgetary and design constraints.
- Post-Project Support: Advise on ongoing operations and training needs following project completion.
- Proven experience managing complex IT initiatives with multiple stakeholders and immovable deadlines.
- Strong background in higher education IT systems (student information systems, admissions, financial aid, lifecycle management).
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders and adapt to organizational needs.
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to map work to future deadlines.
- Availability to work onsite 3 days per week at HBS in Allston, MA.
