Senior Deployment Technician (Contract)

Location: Washington, DC (NW) - 100% Onsite

Duration: 6-8 Week Contract (Immediate Start)

Pay Rate: $45/hr.-$55/hr.

Overview

SNI Technology is seeking a Senior Deployment Technician for a short-term, high-impact deployment project supporting a large, mission-driven organization. This role will focus on configuring, securing, and deploying approximately 80 laptops using modern Microsoft endpoint management tools.

This is a hands-on, onsite opportunity ideal for someone experienced in Microsoft Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Windows Autopilot deployments.

Project Objectives

• Standardize and deploy 80 laptops for end users
• Ensure all devices are secure, compliant, and centrally managed
• Streamline deployment using Autopilot, Intune, and Entra ID
• Deliver a consistent, ready-to-use end-user experience
  
  

Key Responsibilities

Device Configuration & Enrollment

• Enroll devices into Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD Join/Hybrid Join)
• Configure and deploy devices via Windows Autopilot and Intune
• Perform manual enrollments when required
  
  

Security & Compliance

• Apply Intune compliance policies (BitLocker, password policies, OS requirements)
• Ensure endpoint protection and Microsoft Defender onboarding
• Validate device compliance and security baselines
  
  

Configuration & Application Deployment

• Deploy configuration profiles (Wi-Fi, VPN, email, browser policies)
• Implement endpoint security baselines and custom configurations
• Install and validate applications including:
• Microsoft 365 Apps
• Collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom)
• Line-of-business and custom applications
  

Deployment Execution

• Perform end-to-end Autopilot provisioning
• Validate device readiness (authentication, apps, compliance)
• Label, inventory, and document devices (asset tags, serial numbers, assigned users)
  
  

Post-Deployment Support

• Provide Tier 1-2 support to end users
• Assist with login, MFA setup, and troubleshooting
• Reimage and redeploy devices as needed
• Maintain accurate asset inventory and lifecycle tracking

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 4-6 years of IT experience
• Hands-on experience with:
• Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager)
• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Microsoft 365
