Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate with data center vendors (QTS, Digital Realty, DataBank) on power, copper, and fiber cabling Define, procure, and support copper and fiber infrastructure Partner with internal network and deployment teams on connectivity requirements Perform full cabinet deployments Install, maintain, and support servers, structured cabling, and networking hardware Remove decommissioned assets and perform cable cleanup Maintain inventory and update asset management databases Ensure cabling, labeling, and installations meet. Diagnose faulty hardware and Layer 1 connectivity issues
- Installation, removal, and maintenance of servers, cabling, and networking equipment Strong experience with fiber optic technologies and structured cabling (testing and remediation) Knowledge of data center rack power and connectivity requirements Experience supporting enterprise data center operations Ability to logically troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira and ServiceNow Familiarity with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) and CMDB tools
- Strong attention to detail Excellent organizational skills Clear verbal and written communication Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor s degree preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience)
