This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to elicit requirements, design solutions, integrate systems, and ensure seamless deployment of payment and ACH functionalities. You will bridge business needs with technical execution, focusing on compliance, process optimization, and regulatory standards in the financial services domain. This is an onsite-heavy position requiring presence in our Alpharetta, GA office for 4 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for payment and ACH implementation projects through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and gap analysis.
- Lead the design, configuration, and integration of payment systems, including ACH, NACHA, SWIFT, POS, and related protocols, ensuring alignment with regulatory compliance (e.g., PCI DSS, SOX, AML/KYC).
- Collaborate with development, QA, compliance, and infrastructure teams to translate requirements into technical specifications, API integrations, and workflows.
- Manage end-to-end implementation lifecycle, including process mapping, system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking (using tools like JIRA), and post-implementation support.
- Perform data analysis using SQL to identify trends, optimize transaction processing, and generate reports/dashboards with tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Conduct root cause analysis for payment failures, exceptions, and vulnerabilities, recommending improvements for efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., Sprint Planning, Standups, Retrospectives) or hybrid methodologies to drive project delivery.
- Ensure solutions adhere to financial regulations (e.g., NACHA rules, ISO 20022) and support merchant onboarding, settlement, and reconciliation processes.
- Develop documentation such as Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications (FSDs), use cases, and training materials.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, providing updates, resolving issues, and ensuring timely project milestones.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in financial organizations, with a focus on payments, ACH, and implementation projects.
- Proven track record in implementing payment systems (e.g., ACH processing, merchant acquiring, transaction monitoring) in banking or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of payment standards and formats (e.g., NACHA, ACH, SWIFT, ISO 20022, POS).
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau.
- Experience with API integration and testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger, SoapUI).
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies, and tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance in finance (e.g., PCI DSS, AML/KYC, SOX).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Alpharetta, GA for 4 days per week.
- Experience with financial platforms such as LoanIQ, nCino, Kyriba, Workday, or similar TMS/ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Java, XML/JSON, or scripting for troubleshooting integrations.
- Background in credit cards, wealth management, or treasury functions.
- Certifications in Agile (e.g., Scrum Master), Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP), or Payments (e.g., AAP).
