Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complete preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC systems, including package units and split systems.
- Inspect, repair, and replace belts, pulleys, motors, heat exchangers, and other mechanical components.
- Diagnose and repair issues related to steam/hot water boiler systems, airflow, and ducting.
- Handle refrigerants in an EPA-compliant manner and support safe, efficient system operations.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system failures involving compressors, condensing units, circuit boards, controls, and copper brazing.
- Maintain, test, and repair AC motor controls; install and troubleshoot VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives).
- Complete work orders, asset inspections, and service reports with accuracy and detail.
- Utilize tablets/smartphones for documentation, communication, and workflow management.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining strong communication with clients and internal teams.
- Follow all OSHA standards, safety procedures, building codes, and compliance requirements.
- Perform additional multi-craft maintenance tasks as assigned.
- High School diploma or trade certification in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in commercial, industrial, or manufacturing HVAC service.
- EPA Universal Certification required.
- Strong understanding of HVAC controls, sequence of operations, and commercial systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and system failures.
- Experience with AC motor controls and VFD installation/troubleshooting.
- Proficient in reading instructions, safety manuals, and technical documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage with clients effectively.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA standards.
