The position will focus primarily on managing workplace accommodation requests while partnering with HR, Legal, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Workplace Accommodations (Approximately 75%)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for workplace accommodation requests related to disability, pregnancy, religious practices, and lactation needs.
- Manage the full interactive accommodation process from intake through resolution.
- Review medical documentation and assess accommodation options.
- Partner with employees, managers, HR Business Partners, and Legal to identify effective accommodations.
- Draft accommodation-related correspondence and maintain accurate, confidential records.
- Monitor accommodation cases and ensure timely follow-up and case closure.
- Provide guidance and training to managers regarding accommodation obligations and best practices.
- Stay current on federal and state accommodation laws and regulatory updates.
- Support Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) administration and compliance initiatives.
- Assist with EEO-1, VETS-4212, and related compliance reporting.
- Partner with external vendors on workforce demographic reporting and audits.
- Provide compliance guidance to recruiters and hiring managers.
- Support audit preparation and compliance documentation.
- Assist with New Jersey and New York employment law compliance initiatives.
- Generate workforce demographic, labor market, diversity, and turnover reports.
- Analyze HR data and identify trends.
- Prepare and validate large datasets from multiple HR systems.
- Support ad hoc reporting requests and compliance-related data submissions.
- Bachelor''s degree and 7 years of relevant HR experience; OR
- Master''s degree and 5 years of relevant HR experience; OR
- 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Hands-on experience managing workplace accommodations and the ADA interactive process.
- Strong knowledge of ADA, PWFA, FMLA, Title VII religious accommodations, and related employment laws.
- Experience coaching managers and resolving complex employee accommodation matters.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and SharePoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
