We are looking for a Helpdesk Technician for our client in Melville, NY

Job Title: Helpdesk Technician

Job Location: Melville, NY

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $17hr - $22hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a utility or field service environment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and iOS operating systems.
  • Experience supporting enterprise software applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a focus on user satisfaction.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support.
  • Experience in a utility or field service environment is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide phone-based support for IT issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity for field workers.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, escalating issues to other support teams when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions in the IT service management system.
  • Assist in training field workers on new technologies and IT systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with IT teams and field operations to ensure seamless integration of technology in daily operations.

Should Have:

  • Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Professional, or Apple Certified Support Professional are a plus.
  • Bachelor s degree preferred.
