Help Desk Associate

Location: Fargo, ND (On-site)

Type: 6 Month Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Help Desk Associate to provide technical support for computer software, hardware, mobile devices, email, and operating systems. You will diagnose and troubleshoot issues, resolve basic problems, and escalate when necessary. This role requires strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls, emails, and messages from users needing technical assistance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware/software issues and identify resolutions.
• Enter detailed information into help desk software and follow up to ensure resolution.
• Resolve basic issues over the phone (e.g., password resets, unlocking documents).
• Collaborate with IT team members to research and resolve problems.
• Use remote tools to diagnose user issues.
• Set up system access and security roles.
• Maintain accurate documentation and assist with training materials as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Computer Technology or equivalent experience (four-year degree preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Windows PCs.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint), Internet, Outlook, and SAP preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and work effectively as part of a team.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
