Position Summary The Scrum Master is responsible for enabling high performing Agile teams by facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
This role partners closely with Product Owners, development teams, and stakeholders to ensure delivery of high quality products aligned with business priorities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Key Responsibilities Scrum Facilitation & Agile Leadership Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Ensure team adherence to Scrum values, principles, and practices. Coach team members in Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe. Team Support & Delivery Execution Remove blockers and impediments to ensure smooth team progress. Shield the team from distractions and external interruptions.
- Track and communicate team progress using metrics such as velocity, burn down charts, and cumulative flow diagrams.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure a well-defined and prioritized product backlog. Facilitate cross functional collaboration between development, QA, UX, and business teams. Coordinate with release management for successful deployment planning.
- Continuous Improvement Drive retrospectives and implement actionable improvements.
- Encourage the use of engineering best practices, quality standards, and automation where possible. Promote a culture of learning, psychological safety, and team empowerment.
- Risk & Dependency Management Identify and mitigate risks impacting sprint goals. Manage dependencies within and across teams. Communicate issues and progress to leadership in a timely manner.
