Location: Rockville (onsite 5 days a week)

Position’s Overview:

Skysoft Inc currently seeks a Hardware Support Technician to join our team in Rockville, MD.

Position’s General Duties and Task:

The Hardware Support Technician will provide technical support for an extremely diverse biomedical research institute consisting of over 4,000 users in a Windows/Macintosh/Linux environment. This is a challenging job with state-of-the-art equipment. We are looking for people with the desire to experience a diverse fast paced environment. The candidate should have strong communication skills and the ability to work with demanding users.

Essential Duties:

• Device imaging of Windows and Macintosh baseline workstation environments.
• Hardware and software installations both local and remote.
• Mobile device setup and configuration.
• Various computer peripheral delivery and setup.
• Respond to incident and request tickets in a timely fashion and document all activity related to a ticket.
• Escalates tickets appropriately.
  
  

Required Skills:

• 6 months to 2 years exp. with Windows
• 6 months to 2 years exp. with Macintosh operating systems
• 6 months to 2 years exp. with Network and re-imaging workstations
• 6 months to 2 years exp. supporting a small/medium size fast paced environment.
• CompTIA A , and CompTIA N a plus
  
  

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
• Must be able to walk for long distances.
• Must be able to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
