Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the product roadmap for the Google Cloud Platform Data Platform, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, and consumption capabilities
- Translate business needs into scalable platform features and technical requirements
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog in alignment with strategic objectives
- Partner with engineering teams to deliver data platform solutions, including ETL/ELT pipelines and analytics capabilities
- Drive adoption and enablement of Google Cloud Platform-native services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Dataplex, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Storage
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, data governance, security policies, and regulatory requirements
- Establish and promote reusable design patterns for data integration and consumption
- Collaborate across stakeholders to support change implementation and enterprise transformation initiatives
- Communicate product strategy, roadmap, and progress to senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- 10 years of experience in data management, data engineering, data platforms, or analytics
- 5 years of Product Owner or Product Management experience, including roadmap development and backlog management
- 5 years of experience delivering enterprise data solutions on cloud or big data platforms (Google Cloud Platform, Hadoop, Spark, or similar)
- 3 years of experience in data architecture or cloud-based data platform design
- Strong experience with ETL/ELT processes, data ingestion, and transformation pipelines
- Proven ability to work in Agile environments and manage competing priorities
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Dataplex, and Cloud Composer
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks, IAM, and enterprise security practices
- Experience supporting large-scale data platforms or data lake implementations
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value
