We are seeking a skilled Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable data pipelines, working with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), and supporting data-driven initiatives. This is a mid-level role requiring strong technical expertise and the ability to work onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform services
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for large-scale data processing
- Work with structured and unstructured data across multiple sources
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance of data systems
- Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in production environments
- 10 years of experience in data engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Composer (Airflow)
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools and data pipeline design
- Familiarity with Apache Beam / Spark (preferred)
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts
- Ability to work in an onsite, collaborative environment
- Experience working in consulting or client-facing roles
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Exposure to data modeling and performance tuning
- Google Cloud Platform certifications (nice to have)
