Responsibilities
- Conducting field investigations, including soil and rock sampling, in-situ testing, and geophysical surveys.
- Analyzing geotechnical findings, performing geotechnical design calculations, and proposing recommendations for construction.
- Preparing and presenting detailed reports on the findings of geotechnical investigations.
- Using CAD and AutoCAD software to design and visualize geotechnical structures.
- Working closely with other engineers and professionals on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Overseeing and advising on geotechnical and construction activities on site.
- Providing technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to industrial and managerial personnel.
- Conducting geotechnical assessments for road and infrastructure development.
- Participating in project management activities, such as budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.
- A Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or PhD will be considered an advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on infrastructure and road projects.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software, including CAD and AutoCAD.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting geotechnical surveys and investigations.
- Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and rock mechanics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
