Who we're looking for:
- Client ESV's (Electronic Systems Vehicle) Vehicle Development team is seeking a collaborative engineer to work on Functional ECUs and Smart Security.
- The primary responsibility of this role is vehicle development for Functional ECUs and Smart Security.
- Reporting to the Vehicle Development Senior Manager, the person in this role will work to fill Electronic Systems Vehicle's objective of building a NA electronics center of excellence that complements client Global direction.
- Vehicle application of Functional ECUs (power slide door ECU, power tailgate ECU, Seat ECU, Window ECU, Sunroof ECU, etc.) and Smart Security (Smart ECU, Immobi, antennas, etc.)
- Plan structure and design of Functional ECUs and Smart Security through target setting, packaging and style feasibility that balances performance, customer needs and cost while ensuring regulatory compliance
- Issue design specifications to suppliers and manage supplier schedule, performance and quality
- Manage part list and issue internal design documents including engineering change instructions and wiring specifications
Required Skills:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering (or
- equivalent)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills
- 5 years or more as an electrical design engineer
- Must be able to work up to 30% overtime
- Experience in CATIA
- Experience in vehicle electronics development
