Functional Business Analyst – FI-CA (Collections) | Utilities

Role Overview

We are looking for a Functional Business Analyst with deep expertise in SAP FI-CA (Collections) to support a major utility transformation initiative. This role will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving requirements, design, and implementation of collections processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering and process design for FI-CA Collections & Dispute Management
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and system configurations
• Configure and support:
• Collections strategies
• Dunning processes
• Write-offs and dispute handling
• Collaborate with technical teams on enhancements, integrations, and data flows
• Support SIT, UAT, and defect resolution
• Drive workshops with business stakeholders and SMEs
• Ensure alignment with regulatory and compliance standards in utilities
• Support cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 8 years of experience as a Functional BA / Consultant in SAP FI-CA
• Strong hands-on experience in:
• Collections & Dunning configuration
• Contract accounts receivable processes
• MANDATORY: Public Utilities experience (IS-U preferred)
• Experience working on large-scale transformation or implementation programs
• Strong understanding of meter-to-cash processes
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Utilities
• Knowledge of integration with billing, CRM, and payment systems
• Exposure to regulatory environments (utilities commissions, compliance frameworks)

• Open to travel up to 50% (Columbus, OH)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in complex environments
