We are seeking a Forensic Structural Engineer (PE) with recent forensic investigation and structural design experience to be responsible for working with a multidisciplinary team. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:
- Be familiar and capable of performing forensic investigations on commercial and residential structures.
- Compile, write, and edit quality technical reports, feasibility reports, letters, memos, and specifications on structural projects.
- Conduct site visits and assists with roofing, building envelope, moisture, and structural inspections.
- Work well with others, but also be independently motivated.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar program from an accredited school.
- At least 5 years' experience in building-related forensic inspections.
- A Minnesota PE license.
- Strong communication skills to support client relationships.
- Goal oriented with strong skills in problem solving, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Understanding of commercial and industrial building materials, systems, and assemblies.
- Ability to work with architects, engineers, contractors, manufacturers, insurance professionals, and property managers.
