We are seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to support a large, mixed fleet of utility and equipment trucks. This position is primarily focused on truck diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repair across gasoline and diesel platforms.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on, self-sufficient mechanic who can troubleshoot efficiently, work independently, and maintain high standards of documentation and compliance.

Fleet Overview
Approximately 800 total assets, including:
- -ton and 1-ton trucks (Ford, RAM, GM)
- Freightliner M2
- International HV
- Peterbilt
- Utility trucks with Altec and Terex equipment
- Cargo and material trailers
- Perform preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs on light- and medium-duty gas and diesel trucks
- Diagnose and repair engine, drivetrain, brake, suspension, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues
- Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance standards are met
- Maintain accurate service and repair documentation
- Coordinate repair priorities with fleet leadership to minimize downtime
- Support occasional field repairs as needed
- Assist with basic troubleshooting of aerial devices, diggers, or cranes (training available)
- Strong truck diagnostics experience (gas and diesel)
- Electrical troubleshooting skills
- Preventive maintenance background
- DOT inspection and compliance knowledge
- Accurate and consistent service documentation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience working on medium-duty truck platforms
- Utility fleet exposure
- Familiarity with Altec or Terex equipment (not required)
- Field service experience
- Shop-based role with occasional travel
- Day shift schedule
- Well-maintained fleet with strong safety standards
