We are looking for a detail-oriented ETL Tester to validate data pipelines, data transformations, and data integrity across systems. The role involves ensuring that data is accurately extracted, transformed, and loaded into target systems such as data warehouses or data lakes.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate ETL processes and data pipelines for accuracy and completeness
- Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts for ETL workflows
- Perform source-to-target data validation
- Write complex SQL queries to verify data transformations and business rules
- Identify, log, and track defects related to data quality and ETL processes
- Perform data reconciliation and ensure consistency across systems
- Conduct regression testing after ETL changes or enhancements
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business analysts
- Validate data migration and data integration processes
- Ensure compliance with data governance and quality standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 6-10 years of experience in ETL testing or data validation
- Strong SQL skills (joins, aggregations, subqueries, window functions)
- Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, etc.)
- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts (facts, dimensions, star/snowflake schema)
- Experience in testing data pipelines and large datasets
- Knowledge of SDLC and STLC processes
