Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the migration, redesign, and implementation of multiple ETL feeds in AWS cloud
- Work extensively with various data sources and database technologies, including PostgreSQL and Oracle
- Develop, deploy, and maintain cloud solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, and S3 etc.
- Design and implement test automation and controls to ensure data integrity and reliability
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment and also work independently as needed
- Document processes, architecture, and data flows to ensure clarity and organizational knowledge retention
- Proactively identify and address technical challenges related to data migration and cloud integration
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer
- Strong expertise in ETL processes and tools
- Proficiency in working with relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle etc
- Experience working with various file formats, including JSON, fixed-position, delimited, variable layout files
- Excellent data skills, including data modeling, transformation, analysis, and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with AWS services: Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, and S3 etc.
- Solid Python programming skills, with experience in backend development
- Full stack development experience (preferred), with the ability to contribute to both backend and frontend (UI) as needed
- Familiarity with building user interfaces in AWS
- Solid knowledge of test automation frameworks and best practices
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both collaboratively and independently
