We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support an industrial manufacturing facility in Wilmington, NC. This role will play a key part in maintaining EHS programs, supporting compliance initiatives, and driving operational excellence.
This is an onsite position, Monday through Friday (8:00 AM 4:00 PM EST or 7:00 AM 3:00 PM EST). No travel is required. Due to export control requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

<>Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day EHS activities, including safety inspections and recordkeeping.
- Support incident investigations and track corrective actions.
- Contribute to safety program initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide EHS coverage during peak project periods or new project start-ups.
- Conduct pre-job briefs and perform EHS observations.
- Maintain documentation to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal standards.
- Bachelor s degree from an accredited university or college (preferably in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related technical discipline).
- Minimum of 3 years of EHS experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and safety observations.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a strong safety culture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage employees at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills for managing records, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the nuclear industry.
