The Vice President Architect is responsible for providing strategic guidance, designs, and solution patterns to team members, and is the "chief architect for a sub product/s. As the Architect, you will serve as a driver and collaborator throughout the development life cycle, partnering with business analysts and customers to review and optimize requirements.
The VP Architect will:

Responsibilities:
The Vice President Architect is responsible for providing strategic guidance, designs, and solution patterns to team members, and is the "chief architect for a sub product/s. As the Architect, you will serve as a driver and collaborator throughout the development life cycle, partnering with business analysts and customers to review and optimize requirements.
The VP Architect will:
- Lead the architectural design and initial development and/or major revision of business software solutions
- Identify and solve systemic architectural problems at the product or multiple subproducts / teams / technical area levels
- Define product requirements and create high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality and integration with existing systems and platforms
- Solve a variety of very open-ended and complex (even to the PM, TLs and Sr. TLs who presented them) problems
- Provide technical guidance across several scrum teams
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
- Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or similar major
- 7 years of experience with software development
- Demonstrated track record of anticipating technical problems that will fall out of major subproducts/products and designing solutions to overcome them.
- Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
