Job Description
We are seeking Enterprise Architects to join Client. The Enterprise Architecture team focused on enabling business outcomes and shaping the organization's digital future. This team plays a strategic role addressing opportunities across people, processes, and technology and mitigating them through mature architecture, analysis, and design practices integrated into the enterprise delivery lifecycle.
A key initiative is the development of an Enterprise Architecture Platform that consolidates IT data across the organization-spanning strategy, execution, and maintenance-to uncover redundancies, optimize operations, and inform technology planning and decision-making at every level.
We are looking for highly skilled candidate who is technically adept yet strategically minded capable of driving EA platform creation and leveraging insights to influence enterprise decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Architecture Modelling
The role demands strong expertise in business architecture modeling, including creating business process maps, defining capabilities, and analyzing drivers, goals, opportunities, and constraints to shape actionable outcomes. The Enterprise Architect will partner with business, product, and engineering teams to define current and future-state architectures, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and operational realities. This includes mapping business team structures, identifying optimization opportunities, and translating insights into executable architecture evolution roadmaps.
Proficiency in TOGAF framework and ArchiMate notation is required for modeling across business, application, and technology layers. Additional responsibilities include developing roadmaps, capability models, and governance frameworks, while ensuring traceability from business objectives to technology solutions. Mandatory soft skills include strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and clear communication to influence decisions across diverse teams. The role also requires adaptability, collaboration, and the ability to deliver structured models, actionable insights, and execution-ready plans that drive measurable business outcomes.
Application Portfolio Management Lead the end-to-end portfolio management process including data collection, curation and integration into the Abacus EA tool. Collaborate with vendors who publish EOL data sets and EA platform vendors to define metamodels and working models. Drive key use cases such as technology obsolescence and end-of-life analysis, technology and application rationalization, cost/value assessments, risk and compliance reviews and dependency mapping to inform strategic roadmaps and lifecycle management.
Solution & Technical Architecture Governance Define and enforce architecture standards, conduct design reviews, and ensure compliance with enterprise guidelines.
Architecture Patterns & Design Practices Demonstrate practical mastery of modern architecture and design patterns across web, data-intensive and AI/ML applications-including layered/hexagonal/clean architecture, microservices and event-driven design, API-first (REST/GraphQL), serverless, containers & orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), CQRS and saga for distributed transactions, streaming & batch data (Kafka/Spark), data lakehouse/data mesh principles, cache & performance patterns (CDN, edge, async), resilience & reliability (circuit breaker, retry, backoff), observability (logging, tracing, metrics), security & compliance by design (zero trust, OAuth/OIDC, secrets, encryption) and AI/ML engineering (feature stores, model training/serving, MLOps, monitoring, responsible AI). Apply these patterns to design scalable, secure, cost-effective solutions and coach engineering teams on their effective use.
TOGAF & ArchiMate Knowledge (Nice-to-Have) Familiarity with TOGAF (framework, ADM, governance) and ArchiMate notation for modeling strategy, business, application, technology, and motivation layers. Ability to read/create architecture views and meta-models, ensure traceability from capabilities to solutions, and improve communication with stakeholders.
Operational & Financial Data Proficiency Demonstrate strong hands on capability working with CMDB/asset inventories, finance/cost data (including chargebacks, licensing/contracts), and application usage/telemetry metrics (APM, logs, traces) to drive fact-based portfolio insights, rationalization, and risk management. Additionally, be fluent with vendor/SLA data, technology lifecycle signals (EOL/EOS), cloud tagging & cost allocation (FinOps), and business capability mappings to ensure decisions are traceable from spend and usage to outcomes and roadmap priorities.
Engineering Partnership Build strong relationships with engineering teams to enhance design-to-implementation synergy and improve delivery quality. Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles and deliver measurable outcomes.
