Job Description:
- Assembly of precision electro/mechanical systems including tight tolerance mechanical assemblies, electrical wire routing and cable termination
- Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures and appropriate shop tools
- Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools
- Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly
- Test performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, and bridges
- Design and build fixtures and tools to
- Run experiments to improve current processes or develop processes that enable greater shop efficiencies
- Run test stations and do light data entry as necessary to appropriately document results.
