Position Description:
Required Education:
- High School DIploma
- Experience troubleshooting on vehicles (heavy-duty technician or service writer/advisor background preferred)
- Proven success with technical problem solving
- Experience working with engines
- Past experience working for a corporation
- Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks
- Effective communication and documentation skills
- Ability to use engineering tools like Calterm (to download ECM software and calibrations) — noted as "in collaboration with support from Cummins Columbus team
- Vehicle Support: Development powertrain system support and troubleshooting including hardware, software, controls, and electronic systems level troubleshooting
- Issue Troubleshooting & Resolution:
- Following troubleshooting trees independently where available, or using engineering judgment to diagnose issues
- Working with technicians to carry out investigation & resolution
- Tracking issues with clear documentation of outcomes
- Communicating plans and outcomes with engineers, techs, and customers
- Utilize Calterm and other engineering tools to download ECM software and calibrations (in collaboration with Cummins Columbus team)
- Participate and support Vehicle Validation activities (collecting data, overriding engine conditions, addressing and documenting validation issues)
- Utilize existing documentation paths for issue tracking
- Create new communications or documentation methods based on scope of work
