Description
SAIC is seeking an Electronics Technician II to support the USMC at our Hanahan, SC location. This position is 100% on- site.
This position requires a highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently, as well as with a team. It involves working at all levels of program and systems management. Travel may be required, as needed, to support program meetings and system testing.
Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Oversight of fielding kits, per written instructions.
- Fabrication of parts, cables, and assemblies in accordance with drawings provided.
- Integration of parts, cables, assemblies, and sensitive equipment.
- Interaction with other facets of project development and support, such as: leads, government customer, procurement, drafting support, engineering support, and inventory support.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma and four (4) years of experience or electronics, training from a technical school or Class A or B military school in electronics.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and cable run sheets. Must be able to demonstrate laying out measurements according to drawings.
- Experience in the use and maintenance of various electrical and mechanical tools. Must be able to demonstrate basic mechanical and electronics knowledge.
- Experience in laboratory testing, manufacturing, or maintenance. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform basic fabrication standards.
- Provide input to technical design support and reports as required. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to assist in resolving product design and manufacturing issues.
- Perform the testing necessary to ensure form, fit, and function. Must be able to demonstrate basic troubleshooting skills and basic systems testing.
