Responsibilities:
- Preparing cost estimates for electrical substation, transmission, and battery energy storage system (BESS) construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Reviewing and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the scope of work and to determine project requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant electrical codes and regulations.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather detailed information for estimates.
- Preparing and submitting competitive proposals and bids to secure new projects.
- Utilizing Accubid and EBM software to improve the accuracy and efficiency of estimates.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating, with a focus on substations and/or transmission and/or MV/HM utility projects.
- Proficiency in Accubid and EBM estimating software.
- An in-depth understanding of electrical code compliance.
- Exceptional skills in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals.
