Job Description:

Qualifications
Required:
- 5-7 years of relevant electrical design experience
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or a related field
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and CAD Overlay (7 years preferred)
- Experience preparing single-line diagrams, elementary diagrams, and wiring diagrams with minimal oversight
- Experience designing battery systems, chargers, inverters, UPS systems, and DC fuse panels
- Ability to travel to client sites
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience with PLC programming and control systems
- Collaborate with project teams to understand electrical design requirements and project objectives
- Develop electrical system layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Use CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks Electrical) to create and update electrical drawings
- Stay current with design software updates and enhancements
- Design electrical systems for industrial machinery, building systems, automation, and other applications
- Specify and select electrical components, equipment, and materials
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, NEC, IEEE, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct code reviews and implement updates as needed
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs
- Troubleshoot design issues and provide effective solutions
- Maintain organized documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs)
- Prepare technical reports and project deliverables
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project goals
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and design practices
- Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design
- Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEEE)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work
- Ability to collaborate effectively with plant staff, engineering teams, and vendors
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
