We are seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and securing cloud-native applications in AWS GovCloud. This role integrates development, security, and operations to deliver scalable, compliant, and automated infrastructure supporting mission-critical systems in a federal environment.

We are seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and securing cloud-native applications in AWS GovCloud. This role integrates development, security, and operations to deliver scalable, compliant, and automated infrastructure supporting mission-critical systems in a federal environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Design and manage secure, scalable AWS GovCloud infrastructure across multiple environments (dev, test, staging, prod)
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, Splunk)
- Enforce security best practices and ensure compliance with federal standards (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST)
- Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes/ECS
- Optimize system performance, reliability, and availability
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams and provide training/knowledge transfer
- Drive continuous improvement in DevSecOps processes and cloud operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of experience in DevOps/cloud engineering; 3 years with AWS and 1 year in AWS GovCloud
- Strong expertise in AWS services, cloud security, and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53)
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and scripting (Python, Bash)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab) and version control (Git)
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
- Knowledge of networking, IAM, and cloud architecture best practices
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, Splunk)
- Familiarity with automated testing and DevSecOps practices
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working in Agile environments
- Federal experience and tools such as XACTA 360 are a plus
