DevOps/Automation Engineer

Join our innovative team as a DevOps/Automation Engineer, where you'll lead strategic initiatives in cloud infrastructure and drive operational excellence. Responsibilities

• Guide the team in setting strategic directions for infrastructure, security, and IT operations.
• Oversee daily operations of production and development infrastructure for a cloud-based commerce platform.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to streamline processes and improve system reliability.
• Collaborate with Development and QA teams to enhance existing features and launch new services.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code practices to automate and manage cloud resources efficiently.
  
  

Skills

• Expertise in multi-cloud environments and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Go.
• Experience with containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while achieving results.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of service mesh technologies like Istio and monitoring tools such as Prometheus.
• Experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with database technologies, including PostgreSQL and Apache Kafka.
• Understanding of FinOps practices for effective cloud cost management.
