Position Overview
The Desktop Support Technician provides hands-on technical support to end users both remotely and in person. Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote support for desktops, laptops, printers, and related peripherals.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, and repair desktop systems and applications.
- Support users with account access, system setup, and general technical questions.
- Perform imaging, deployment, and routine maintenance of devices.
- Document work performed in a ticketing system and follow established support procedures.
- Maintain strong communication with end users to ensure a positive support experience.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with supported teams and departments.
- Lift and transport equipment as needed and work in non-standard physical positions when required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- 1-2 years of hands-on desktop support experience.
- Experience with installation, troubleshooting, and repair in a desktop environment.
- Basic understanding of network connectivity and troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Experience supporting multiple operating systems.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and documentation practices.
- Knowledge of common productivity applications and email platforms.
- Experience with imaging, deployment, and hardware repair.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
