Job Summary
Client is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite end‑user support for corporate IT environments. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring high user satisfaction, and maintaining IT standards across desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite L2 desktop support for end users in a corporate environment
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, OS, and application issues
- Install, configure, and support Windows desktops/laptops, printers, and peripherals
- Handle IMAC activities (Install, Move, Add, Change)
- Support Active Directory tasks such as user account management, password resets, and group access
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (LAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN)
- Coordinate with remote teams and vendors for issue resolution and hardware replacement
- Manage incidents, service requests, and changes using ticketing tools (ServiceNow preferred)
- Maintain asset inventory and documentation
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and SLAs
- Strong experience in Desktop / End‑User Support roles
- Hands‑on knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 10/11) and MS Office suite
- Experience with Active Directory, Outlook, Teams, and Office 365
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident management
- Excellent troubleshooting and customer‑facing communication skills
- Ability to work independently in an onsite support environment
- Experience in enterprise or banking/financial services environments (FIS exposure is a plus)
- Knowledge of SCCM, Intune, or endpoint management tools
- Exposure to Mac OS support (if applicable)
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A , ITIL, Microsoft (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
