We are seeking an experienced DB2 Database Administrator (DB2 DBA) to support, maintain, and optimize enterprise DB2 database environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DB2 administration on Linux/Unix platforms, performance tuning, and database security.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and upgrade DB2 database environments
• Manage DB2 databases including backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
• Monitor database performance and perform tuning for optimal efficiency
• Troubleshoot database issues, outages, and performance bottlenecks
• Implement and maintain database security, roles, and access controls
• Support high availability (HA) and replication technologies (HADR)
• Perform database patching, migrations, and upgrades
• Work closely with development and infrastructure teams for database support
• Automate routine DBA tasks using shell scripting or other tools
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with standards.
  
  

Required Skills:

• 5 years of experience as a DB2 DBA
• Strong experience with IBM DB2 LUW (Linux/Unix/Windows)
• Hands-on experience with HADR (High Availability Disaster Recovery)
• Expertise in backup & recovery strategies
• Experience in performance tuning and query optimization
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
• Experience with SQL scripting and stored procedures
• Familiarity with database security and compliance
