We are seeking a skilled Databricks Platform Engineer to install, configure, and operationalize the Databricks Lakehouse platform for a large enterprise. This role focuses on secure setup, governance, automation, and performance optimization to enable data engineering and analytics at scale. Key Responsibilities Install and configure Databricks workspaces, clusters, and storage integrations. Implement SSO/SCIM, RBAC, and cluster policies for secure operations. Set up Unity Catalog for data governance and fine-grained access control. Configure network security (private endpoints, VNet/VPC peering, firewall rules). Integrate logging and monitoring with enterprise SIEM for compliance. Establish cost management controls and usage governance. Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines for automation. Apply patches/upgrades and troubleshoot platform issues. Document administration standards and hand off to internal teams. Required Skills 5 years in cloud data platform administration; 2 years with Databricks. Expertise in Unity Catalog, cluster policies, and governance. Strong knowledge of Azure/AWS networking and security. Hands-on experience with Terraform and CI/CD. Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR). Nice to Have Databricks certifications. Experience with FinOps and cost optimization. Prior work enabling POCs and migrations
