Position Summary:
The Data Scientist will transform time-critical data from complex, multi-sourced systems into unified, aggregated information for executive reporting and decision-making. This role requires expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) tools to establish data relationships, validate integrity, and build models and visualizations for operational, analytical, historical, and forecast data. The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical skills, collaborate effectively, and communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Hybrid role: 2 3 days onsite in Long Beach, remainder remote during Pacific Time hours. Occasional travel for meetings and workshops.

Position Summary:

The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical skills, collaborate effectively, and communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the full solution development lifecycle: business case, planning, design, development, testing, migration, and support.
- Collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large datasets with accuracy.
- Develop metadata and identify reporting/dashboard requirements.
- Design and build enterprise data warehouse models and unified reports across multiple sources.
- Implement ETL processes and ensure data integrity.
- Create UI components for dashboards and portals (e.g., SharePoint).
- Generate reports using Power BI or Tableau; manage SQL databases.
- Apply programming skills in SQL, Python, R for data analysis and automation.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work across functional boundaries and manage multiple priorities.
- Expertise in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Self-directed and proactive in managing data processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years in BI development and Power BI.
- Experience with ETL, data modeling, SQL Server, and VBA programming.
- Familiarity with PBIRS, SSRS, SSAS, and Tableau.
- Strong documentation and presentation skills.
