- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and validate requirements for data products and features.
- Define and articulate the data product vision, ensuring alignment with business strategies and organizational objectives.
- Develop detailed use cases, prioritize product backlogs, and build data product roadmaps.
- Identify key data sources and document clear functional and technical specifications for engineering teams.
- Establish, maintain, and enforce data quality standards, governance rules, and security best practices to ensure trusted data outputs.
- Lead and coordinate with cross-functional development teams, ensuring effective execution against product goals.
- Design business-friendly target data models that serve as implementation blueprints for engineering and analytics teams.
- Perform hands-on data analysis using SQL, generating insights and ensuring requirements are data-backed.
- Utilize exposure to Python and PySpark to support analytical workflows (good to have).
- Communicate product goals, progress, challenges, and outcomes effectively with stakeholders and technical teams.
- Proven experience in a Data Product Owner, Data Analyst, or similar product-focused role.
- Strong understanding of data platforms, data modeling, and modern data ecosystems.
- Hands-on experience with SQL for data analysis.
- Familiarity with Python and PySpark is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
- Willingness to travel to New Jersey as required.
