Data Governance with Alation

Job Summary

We are seeking a Data Governance Analyst with hands-on experience in Alation Data Catalog to support enterprise data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in data cataloging, data lineage, data quality, metadata management, and governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and support Data Governance framework across enterprise data platforms.
• Configure and manage Alation Data Catalog (metadata ingestion, data lineage, business glossary).
• Work with data owners, data stewards, and business teams to define data governance policies.
• Maintain data dictionary, business glossary, and metadata management.
• Support data quality, data classification, and data lineage initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with data governance policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Work with ETL, Data Warehouse, and BI teams for data governance integration.
• Conduct data governance training and documentation for business users.
• Create governance dashboards and reports.
