We are looking for an experienced Data Governance Lead to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the implementation and enforcement of data governance policies, ensuring the integrity, security, and compliance of data assets. Responsibilities:
Oversee and maintain data catalog, metadata management, data quality, and lineage tools to support governance objectives.
Collaborate with data owners and technical teams to identify and resolve issues related to data quality and integrity.
Implement role-based access control policies across data platforms, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and organizational standards.
Evaluate emerging tools and technologies to enhance the efficiency and impact of the data governance program.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Lead efforts to ensure data remediation processes are aligned with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
Provide technical expertise in managing data platforms, including data lakes, warehouses, and databases.
Develop and enforce standards for data privacy, security, and accessibility across all data assets.
Guide the organization in aligning data governance initiatives with enterprise risk and IT risk management strategies.
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of experience in data governance, data analysis, or related fields.
Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft SQL, BusinessObjects Technologies, and Erwin Data.
Strong knowledge of compliance standards, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley), and enterprise risk management.
Hands-on expertise in managing data platforms and implementing governance frameworks.
Familiarity with business intelligence (BI) tools and methodologies.
Ability to develop and enforce data security and privacy policies.
Proven track record in measuring and improving data governance program effectiveness.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across diverse teams.
