Description: Our client is currently seeking a Data Governance Analyst-HYBRID
This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity, optimize SQL processes, and provide analytical insights to support business objectives.
Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.
Monitor data quality and identify improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with data owners and stewards to uphold data standards.
Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories.
Support compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and resolve data-related issues.
Respond to requests for assistance related to internally developed SQL processes.
Troubleshoot data-related questions by reviewing SQL procedures and identifying optimizations or advising processes from internal app development.
Collect and document requirements on data development initiatives from business stakeholders.
Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Data Engineering teams to write SQL queries for ad-hoc inquiries or integration into stored procedures.
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
Utilize version control tools to maintain a structured and organized workflow; collaborate with the development team and follow best practices for documentation, testing, and deployment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience in a related field required
5 years of experience as a Data Governance Analyst with SQL programming, database systems, and data analysis.
Experience working in SOX and PCI/PII environments.
Highly organized with excellent communication, analytical, and collaboration skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
Experience With Databricks, AWS S3, And Azure Preferred.
Strong T-SQL programming skills preferred.
