Position Summary:
The Enterprise Analytics and Data Services team requires a consultant proficient in the design and development of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, analytical models, tools, and programs. This consultant must have advanced experience interpreting business data requirements and developing complex SQL queries and PL/SQL programs, with experience in Pension, Health Insurance, Customer Service, Finance, and/or Risk.
This includes a strong understanding and experience with information technology, business intelligence development, change management best practices, project management, and system development lifecycle fundamentals.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Oracle SQL: Advanced complex SQL query development
- PL/SQL: PL/SQL program development
- Data Modeling: Analytical models, data marts (Pension data marts)
- Data Warehouse: Experience with data warehouse environments (30 fact tables, 100 dimension tables)
- Domain Experience: Pension, Health Insurance, Customer Service, Finance, and/or Risk
- Business Intelligence: BI development experience
- Change Management: Best practices
- Project Management: Fundamentals
- SDLC: System development lifecycle fundamentals
- ETL: Data extraction, transformation, loading
- ServiceNow: Familiarity with request management (preferred)
- Public Sector Experience: Preferred (CalPERS is a state agency)
- At least five (5) years of experience supporting the design and development of analytical models, tools, or programs using Oracle tools
- At least five (5) years of experience with interpreting requirements and developing complex PL/SQL and SQL
- Proven ability to reason logically and creatively and use a variety of analytical and research techniques to solve complex problems; visualize data sets; analyze situations and propose an effective course of action; analyze data; identify the need for and provide creative thinking related to complex problems, develop and evaluate alternatives.
- At least five (5) years of experience in some or all areas of Pension and Health Insurance
